FamiliarFaces is a private directory for one family. There is no public directory, no search across families, no advertising and no tracking, and we never sell data.
What we store
- Your account: your email address, or an Apple ID token if you use Sign in with Apple.
- Family records that members enter: names, nicknames, birth and death dates, how people are related, and notes.
- Contact details: phone, email and mailing address. You can hide your address from the family at any time.
- Photos and voice recordings that members add, and who they're tagged with.
- Purchases: which plan your family has and when it renews. Apple handles payment; we never see card details.
Information about people who haven't joined
Family members can add relatives who don't use the app. Every record shows who added it. Anyone can join, claim their own record, and edit or remove their own contact details. To have a record about you removed, ask a Keeper in your family or contact us (below).
Who can see it
Only the members of your family. Access is enforced by the database, not just the app. Someone removed from a family loses access immediately. Records of relatives who have died stay private to the family and are never made public.
Children
Accounts are only for people 13 and older. Younger relatives can appear only as records added by an adult relative.
Service providers
We use Supabase (database and file storage, United States), Apple (sign-in and payments), RevenueCat (subscription status) and Expo (app updates). They process data only to run the service.
Your choices
- Export: You → Export my family's data.
- Delete: You → Delete my account and my data. This deletes your sign-in and your contact details right away. People, photos and stories you added stay with your family unless a Keeper removes them.
